Welcome to Kenzie's Corner
Welcome to Kenzie’s Corner, the best place to find out about, well, me! This is the place where I release all my manic energy that is usually converted into nonstop talking. Enjoy!
Triathlon
On Saturday, I participated in the Triathlon at Beech Fork Lake. At first, the race was postponed because of lightning and thunder, but after about an hour, we were ready to start.
I had to swim 100 yards, bike 6 miles and run 2 miles. Boy was I exhausted. I staggered over to the cold water and just fell in face first and rested. After a while, they announced that I had won my age group! Kelsie also did well, finishing 3rd in the 6-7 year old age group.
Both of us were very happy and were very glad Mom and Dad helped us train so hard!

Carsick
The inspiration for this poem is the awful road to Camp Cowen. The drive is nauseating and brutal. It's a good thing that camp is worth it!!:-)
When I was on my way to camp,
a special happy day,
Mom drove along a winding road
that made me feel this way:I felt real bad all over,
from the bottom to the top,
The nausea was awful,
I wanted it to stop.Suddenly, the road went straight.
I felt much better,
I felt great!Then once again,
the road did turn,
my stomach, too,
began to churn.Not much longer,
not too far,
Mom was forced,
To stop the car.Up came my breakfast,
my lunch too,
I couldn't take it,
I had to spew.Take heed to those
on Route 19,
'Twas there where I
again felt green.** In the guestbook, write your own favorite(or least favorite) camp memory.**

Father's Day
Since it is Father's Day I thought I'd tell you a little bit about my Father. He goes by Sam or Bob (SamBobBobby to me and Leigh Ann Creasy). He is caring, generous, understanding, appreciative and nice. He grills better than anyone in the world and can spot an awsome old car from a mile away. He is kind to animals, and our cat Angel adores him. (We do too!) He is a great artist and is very good with math and science. He is the best dad in the whole world!
Happy Father's Day!

Psychotic Cicadas
What is the noisiest, the ugliest, the most overpopulated bug in West Virginia and Ohio currently? The answer is none other than our little cicada friends. Apparently they live underground for 17 years (they're older than me!) and just come out, mate, lay eggs and then leave, but they seem to be more annoying than that. I have had several fly into my face, land on my head, cling to my back and just annoy me. I don't especially like them, but I tolerate them. On the other hand, Kelsie is a cicada enthusiast. No cicada ever is in harm's way when she is around. I appreciate Angel's approach more. Our cat hunts them down, tortures them and then eats them alive. These creatures are quite strange, and I just can't wait till they're gone.

Tonsil Trouble
On Wednesday Kelsie got her tonsils removed and is recovering quickly for you who are wondering. She has been surviving on Popsicles and milkshakes since then .I am very happy about this because Mom has a policy about fairness that states that whatever I do for one girl I will do for the other. This policy sort of backfired on Mom and I'm getting lots of frozen treats because of this. :-)
Thanks, Mom.
